Is Procrastination a Sin?
Because It Damn Well Feels Like One.
Look, I’m not a theologian, but if procrastination isn’t a sin, it absolutely should be.
Right up there with gluttony, sloth, and convincing yourself you need another planner before you can start.
How many million-dollar ideas have died because someone said, “I’ll start next Monday”?
How many brilliant businesses, passion projects, and side hustles are currently rotting in the graveyard of “I just need to do a little more research”?
If there’s one universal truth, it’s that procrastination is the silent killer of ambition.
Why Do We Keep Doing This to Ourselves?
It’s not that you don’t know what to do.
you probably have:
✔ A Notion board filled with plans you’ve ignored
✔ A stack of half-used planners collecting dust
✔ A list of goals you’ve rewritten 47 times instead of actually doing them
The problem isn’t knowledge. It’s execution.
We keep waiting for motivation like it’s a divine message from the heavens.
We tell ourselves we need to be “in the right headspace” before we start.
Newsflash: Waiting for motivation is like waiting for your ex to text back. It’s not coming.
Excuses Disguised as Logic (AKA Lies We Tell Ourselves)
“I need to do more research.” → No, you don’t. You’re just avoiding the hard part.
“I’ll start when I feel ready.” → You won’t. Readiness is a scam.
“I’m just waiting for the right time.” → The right time was yesterday. The second-best time is now.
If Procrastination Was a Sin, You’d Be in Confession Weekly.
Imagine standing at the pearly gates, and St. Peter flips open a book titled ‘Sh*t You Said You’d Do But Didn’t.’
“Sooo… looks like you had ‘Start my business’ in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023… and now we’re here. Thoughts?”
Or worse—imagine having to confess it weekly:
“Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned… I spent three hours watching productivity videos instead of being productive.”
Wouldn’t that be the ultimate wake-up call?
Wouldn’t that finally get you to stop treating your goals like a side quest?
The Only Way Out Is Through.
You don’t beat procrastination by thinking about beating procrastination.
You beat it by starting before you’re ready.
Soooo… Are You Ready to Repent?
You can wait for another “right moment” or finally admit that the only thing standing between you and your goals is you.
Instead of waiting until you “feel like it” like everybody else…
What we do instead is make execution automatic.
~ We set up triggers that make starting easy.
~ We use quick-win momentum to kill resistance.
~ We remove all the BS distractions that make quitting easier than working.
Once you set this up, you can finally get things done—without overthinking, burning out, or waiting for motivation 5ever.
You can keep waiting for the perfect time (which doesn’t exist).
Or you can start right now, before your brain talks you out of it :)
alriiiiight! Breaks overrrrr!
Now go back to work and get things done.
I’ll see you on the next one! :>
Keep crushin’ it,
Nathalie
